ROTH Capital Partners, a full service investment bank focused on serving emerging growth companies and their investors, added Murray Huneke as managing director and co-head of consumer investment banking. Huneke, who will operate out of the firm’s San Francisco office, will partner with Newport Beach, CA-based Paul Zaffaroni to lead the consumer investment banking group.

“Murray is an experienced consumer banker, and we are excited to have him join our team. We continue to take advantage of opportunities for growth by adding professionals in sectors which we believe are aligned with our small cap growth focus,” stated Byron Roth, CEO of ROTH.

“I look forward to joining ROTH, a firm that I have watched grow their small-cap consumer franchise during my years in the business,” Huneke said. “I look forward to working with Paul to continue the growth in the existing sub-sectors and expanding into new ones.”

Most recently, Huneke was a managing director and co-head of consumer investment banking at Stifel. Prior to joining Stifel, he served for 10 years as managing director and co-head of Piper Jaffray’s consumer group and was responsible for the restaurant, food and beverage teams within the consumer group at Banc of America Securities/Montgomery Securities. Huneke began his investment banking career at Alex Brown & Sons.
