His most recent roles include counseling affiliated debtors selling hotel properties in a Chapter 11 process in the Southern District of New York and representing an official committee of student creditors in the Corinthian Colleges Chapter 11 case in Delaware, where Schwartz served as counsel to the official committee of general unsecured creditors under the auspices of another firm.

He has also had significant roles in bankruptcy cases of national prominence representing committees, creditors and buyers.

Gautier has dedicated significant time to lecturing and writing for professional organizations and has served in many capacities, including two terms as a director of the American Bankruptcy Institute.
