RadioShack entered into a partnership with HobbyTown to bring its branded electronics to over 60 HobbyTown franchise store locations nationwide.

Over time, the RadioShack Express “store-within-a-store” concept will be rolled out to HobbyTown in over 100 of their locally-owned stores and expand RadioShack’s presence in more suburban markets.

Recently, RadioShack refocused its efforts on both its e-commerce platform and its 400-plus dealer locations.

“We are excited about the HobbyTown partnership, as it will allow us to re-engage and directly serve our core hobby and DIY communities,” said Steve Moroneso, CEO of General Wireless Operations.

“This will expand the RadioShack footprint quickly and enhance the product selection and services offered at HobbyTown locations,” added HobbyTown President Bob Wilke.

Founded in 1921, RadioShack is an iconic consumer electronics company and technology products and services retailer. It is currently owned by General Wireless Operations, which acquired the brand in March 2015.

Established in 1985, HobbyTown is a hobby and toy retailer that focuses on specialty toys and STEM products.
