Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney announced that Hank Pool, former deputy general counsel of PNC Bank, has joined the firm as senior counsel in its Financial Services practice.

“Having worked closely with Hank for many years, we couldn’t be more pleased to have him on board,” stated Jack Barbour, Buchanan’s CEO and managing shareholder. “His experience and industry focus are perfectly suited to our strengths in the banking and financial services industry,” Barbour added.

Pool, who began at PNC as a senior lawyer for the Corporate and Institutional Bank in 1999, became deputy general counsel for the Corporate and Institutional Bank in 2001 and served in that role until his recent decision to go back to private practice.

Prior to his role with PNC, Pool was a member of the Management Committee at Tucker Arensberg, where his career as a lawyer began. He developed strong relationships with Buchanan’s Financial Services Chair, Cal Harvey, and others at Buchanan while both firms were servicing banking clients in the region.
