Piper Jaffray hired C.K. Lee as a managing director in its financial institutions group (FIG). He will be based in Dallas, covering depository institutions in the Southwest region.

Prior to joining Piper Jaffray, Lee was a managing director of the financial institutions group of Commerce Street Capital, where he assisted clients with mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, balance sheet restructuring, business plan development and regulatory matters.

He has consistently ranked among the leading bank transaction advisors in the country having advised on over $1 billion of total deal volume. In addition, Lee has further experience and expertise as a regulator of both complex, multinational holding companies and small- and mid-sized community banks.

“We are excited to bring C.K. Lee to the Piper Jaffray platform. Expanding our depository practice into the Southwestern United States has been an important target area for us as we see a lot of continued growth in that region,” said Chad Abraham, co-head of global investment banking at Piper Jaffray.
