Miller Nash bankruptcy law partner Teresa Pearson was recently elected to the board of directors of the Northwest Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA). Pearson’s appointment is for a three-year term.

Pearson focuses her legal practice primarily on creditors’ rights, insolvency and reorganization. She is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Debtor-Creditor Section of the Oregon State Bar. Pearson was recently featured on the cover of the 2013 Oregon Super Lawyers magazine, in which she has made the Top 25 Women list since 2009 and the Top 50 Lawyers list since 2010, including a Top 10 overall ranking in 2011. She is also listed in Best Lawyers in America for bankruptcy law.

Pearson earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of California- Berkeley before receiving her law degree from Duke University. She has been practicing law since 1995 and received national board certification in business bankruptcy law from the American Board of Certification. She is admitted to practice in Oregon and Washington. (The Supreme Court of Washington does not recognize certifications of specialties in the practice of law, and this certification is not a requirement to practice law in the state of Washington.)
