Ross Macdonald and Marcelo D. Mills were named senior vice president and regional manager, respectively, of Pacific Mercantile Bank‘s Newport Beach and Irvine Spectrum offices in California.

“Ross has done an outstanding job in building our commercial client base and will have a greater opportunity to have a positive impact as the head of our largest office,” said Tom Vertin, president and CEO of Pacific Mercantile Bank. “We are very pleased to welcome Marcelo to Pacific Mercantile. His strong banking experience and familiarity with the local business community makes him well suited to lead our Irvine Spectrum office.”

Macdonald has been a senior vice president and regional manager at Pacific Mercantile Bank since 2014 and is a 2017 graduate of the bank’s rigorous Horizon Analytics training course. Prior to joining Pacific Mercantile, Macdonald was a vice president, senior commercial relationship manager at BB&T. Earlier in his career, Macdonald held commercial banking positions at Manufacturers Bank and Bank of America, where he focused on developing relationships in the Los Angeles market.

Mills has spent the past decade as a community banker focused on commercial lending to small- and middle-market companies in Orange County, CA. Mills joins from Community Bank in Irvine, where he served as vice president and senior relationship manager. Earlier in his career, Mills held relationship management positions with First Citizens Bank and Chase Bank.
