Opus Bank named 14-year banking and finance veteran Evan Purcell managing director of Healthcare Banking. He will be responsible for providing senior debt financing and banking solutions to hospitals, long-term care facilities, behavioral health companies, hospice providers, home health agencies, healthcare-related manufacturing and other service providers in the healthcare industry.

Geoff Anfuso, executive vice president, co-chief lending officer, head of Commercial and Specialty Banking, said, “Evan has been a strong contributor to our Healthcare Banking team since joining Opus in the middle of 2017. We’re excited to further leverage his deep industry knowledge and expertise now as a client relationship manager as we continue to grow our healthcare banking presence.”

Purcell joined Opus Bank as first vice president, portfolio manager, Healthcare Banking. He previously served as vice president, senior underwriter, Healthcare Finance at Wells Fargo Capital Finance and as vice president, relationship manager within Wells Fargo Specialty Finance. Prior to that, Purcell was a loan officer within the Corporate Finance Group of CapitalSource. He began his banking career in 2004 as an investment banking analyst with Legg Mason’s Financial Institutions Group.
