Opus Bank expanded its Los Angeles commercial banking team with the addition of Tate A. Bowman, a 33-year banking veteran, and Tayo Okusanya, a 13-year banking veteran, as managing directors.

Both are highly regarded banking veterans, each with tremendous depth of experience in their markets providing commercial banking products, services and solutions to entrepreneurs, business owners and corporations.”

Bowman joined Opus from Bank of the West, where from 2017 he served as vice president, senior relationship manager. While there, he was responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of small business and lower middle market commercial clients comprised of manufacturing and import/export companies and professional services firms in the downtown Los Angeles and San Fernando Valley markets. From 2015 to 2016, Bowman served as vice president, relationship manager at Pacific Commerce Bank. From 2013 to 2015, he was vice president, relationship manager with JPMorgan Chase. From 2007 to 2013, Bowman served with Citibank, rising to the position of senior vice president, business development officer. He began his banking career at Wells Fargo Bank.

Okusanya joined Opus from Bank of America, where he served since 2011 as vice president, senior relationship manager and developed and managed a portfolio of middle market commercial banking clients, providing strategic advice as well as commercial banking, lending and treasury products to clients in the Los Angeles region. From 2008 to 2011, he was vice president, relationship manager at MUFG Union Bank, where he grew and managed a portfolio of business banking clients in the downtown Los Angeles market. Okusanya began his banking career in 2004 as a business banker with Citibank. Prior to starting his banking career, he practiced commercial law with a focus on mergers and acquisitions.
