Ted Koenig, president, CEO and founder of Monroe Capital, was awarded one of three Leadership Achievement Awards at the Global M&A Network 8th Annual Americas M&A Atlas Awards.

The awards included 39 “Deal of the Year ,” 25 “Outstanding Firms,” two “Dealmakers” and three “Leadership Achievement” awardees from the North and South Americas, middle market segments.

The evening honored Phil Canfield, managing director, co-head of Tech, Media & Telecom Group at GTCR, as the recipient of the “Private Equity Growth Leadership Achievement” award. Mike Gibbons, senior managing director, principal and founder, Brown Gibbons Lang and Koenig were received the “Leadership Achievement” accolades.

The leadership award singles out exceptional executives, leading and building top-notch firms, growing companies, creating jobs and numerous success stories.

Wade Angus, partner at Jones Day was recipient of the “Lawyer of the Year” and Brent Earles, managing director at Allegiance Capital won the “Boutique Investment Banker of the Year” award.

GI Partners, The Carlyle Group and Huron Capital won in the respective Private Equity Firm award categories, Raymond James and Jones Day won the America Investment Bank and Law Firm honors, while Bradesco BBI and Mattos Filho won in Latin America categories. KPMG won the Accounting & Transactions Advisor award, RMS received the Valuations & Due Diligence honors, FTI Strategic Communications, won the Public Relations Firm accolade and Donnelly Financial Solutions Venue won the coveted “Virtual Data Room Firm of the Year” award.
