Monroe Capital acted as sole capital provider on the funding of a $49.3 million credit facility and equity co-investment to support the acquisition of a specialty chemical platform by the private equity sponsor, Highland Avenue Capital Partners

Founded in 2004, the company manufactures and distributes specialty chemicals for a wide range of end markets including industrial, agriculture and other specialty chemicals.

This transaction is representative of Monroe Capital’s focus on its independent sponsor vertical. The independent sponsor finance vertical focuses on providing comprehensive “one-stop” solutions for independent sponsors seeking financing for acquisitions, mergers, business combinations and recapitalizations.

“Monroe Capital understood the independent sponsor process and was able to perform due diligence and close in a very tight time frame to support us on this transaction,” said Christopher Bryan, managing partner and founder of Highland Avenue Capital Partners.
