MB Business Capital promoted William Bence from portfolio management to vice president/business development officer and added John Robinson as senior vice president/business development officer.

Bence will be based out of the Rosemont, IL office and be responsible for developing new asset-based lending opportunities, primarily in the Michigan and Ohio markets. He has more than 10 years of asset-based lending experience, beginning his career with LaSalle Business Credit and later Bank of America Business Capital, where he served in credit analyst and field examiner positions.

A 30-year industry veteran, Robinson will be based in the Hunt Valley, MD office covering the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. He started his career at Maryland National Bank with roles in credit and portfolio management. Robinson subsequently served in various positions at McShane Group, a turnaround advisory firm, and Parkway Capital, a mezzanine lender. Prior to joining MB, he worked with Fifth Third Bank’s Structured Finance Group.
