Chris Lyle, a 17-year commercial banking veteran, joined Virginia Commonwealth Bank as a senior vice president, Commercial Lender.

Lyle most recently served as Union Bank and Trust’s senior vice president for Real Estate Loans. Shortly before that, he served as vice president, Real Estate Loan Officer for Towne Bank, a position that immediately followed the acquisition of Monarch Bank in June 2016. Prior to the acquisition, Lyle spent 11 years managing a highly dynamic $50 million to $60 million commercial and residential real estate portfolio.

“Chris’s proven talent as a career commercial lender within a community banking environment gives us a true competitive advantage as we look toward our growth in the Hampton Roads region,” says Randal R. Greene, president and CEO of Bay Banks of Virginia.

Bay Banks of Virginia is the bank holding company for Virginia Commonwealth Bank and VCB Financial Group.
