Doug Donahue will be joining Linklaters’ New York Capital Markets practice as a Structured Finance and Derivatives partner.

Donahue is an OTC derivatives lawyer who represents both buy and sell-side institutions, including dealers, banks and hedge funds, in connection with the development, structuring, negotiation and documentation of a wide variety of financial products.

He has been at the forefront of regulatory driven changes to the derivatives market, including being a primary drafter of and contributor to the ISDA Dodd-Frank Protocols and the 2016 ISDA Variation Margin Protocol as well as providing the legal input on ISDA Amend.

He joins from Mayer Brown, bringing his expertise in the implementation of the regulatory reforms relating to mandatory margining for uncleared derivatives. Counsel William Liu and associate Raha Brown will also be joining Linklaters’ U.S. Finance practice from Mayer Brown.
