KPMG Corporate Finance Acquires St. Charles Capital

KPMG’s wholly owned subsidiary, KPMG Corporate Finance, has acquired substantially all of the assets of St. Charles Capital, a boutique investment bank that provides M&A and capital advisory services for mid-market companies nationwide.

The transaction seeks to enhance KPMG CF’s position as a mid-market investment bank and M&A advisor for companies in the technology, telecommunications, financial services, energy, and diversified industrials sectors.

“Demand for KPMG’s Corporate Finance business continues to expand as companies increasingly look to inorganic growth to transform their operations,” said Lynne Doughtie, vice chair for advisory at KPM. “The addition of St. Charles Capital’s experienced investment banking team complements the already highly-regarded global KPMG Corporate Finance platform while also expanding our industry presence and capabilities in key dynamic sectors.”

From the acquisition, KPMG Corporate Finance gained deeper technology and telecommunications coverage, energy services coverage to complement existing firm capabilities, and deep financial services coverage.

St. Charles Capital gained access to a global investment banking platform and to the resources and relationships at KPMG through the acquisition.
