The global law firm Jones Day said Ken Boehner has joined the firm’s Atlanta Office as a partner in the M&A practice.

“Ken brings additional depth to our highly respected M&A team here in Atlanta,” said Lizanne Thomas, partner-in-charge of Jones Day’s Atlanta Office. “He has excellent credentials and his skills and experience will be of great value to domestic and international clients alike.”

Boehner’s corporate practice focuses on the life sciences and technology, media, and telecommunications (TMT) sectors. He has experience advising domestic and international clients on a variety of cross border corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions, financings, joint ventures, private equity, and venture capital, and also works on development of strategies to release value from intellectual property assets. Boehner’s industry experience is recognized by one of the leading legal directories, Legal 500.

“We’re delighted that Ken is joining us. He has a wealth of experience, particularly in the TMT sector, on both sides of the Atlantic,” said Bob Profusek, leader of Jones Day’s M&A Practice. “The TMT sector currently accounts for a substantial percentage of M&A deals, as factors including large cash reserves and low interest rates continue to fuel dealmaking. Ken’s experience in this area is an asset to our global practice as well as to our numerous clients active in this industry.”
