Matt Wilson will join Huron Consulting as a managing director in its Healthcare practice. He will be responsible for helping health systems, hospitals and physician organizations achieve sustainable improvements in their clinical operations, costs and patient-centered outcomes.

Wilson will support healthcare clients through data-driven transformation using contemporary, customized solutions that address those organizations’ most pressing strategic and operational needs and leadership challenges.

Wilson brings more than 20 years of experience in healthcare restructuring and change management, specializing in population health, technology transfer and group purchasing. Previously, he served as president and CEO of Kansas-based healthcare IT solutions provider Health Outcomes Sciences. Prior to that, Wilson spent eight years at global health IT vendor Cerner in senior leadership positions, including vice president and general manager.

“As consumerism drives healthcare towards precision medicine, hospitals and health systems must understand and implement technology and process changes that deliver quality patient care and increase market share,” said Gordon Mountford, executive vice president, Huron’s Healthcare practice. “Matt’s deep knowledge of strategic partnerships, organizational optimization and EHR software will help our clients navigate perpetual technology advances and heightened regulatory scrutiny.”
