Guggenheim Securities, the investment banking and capital markets division of Guggenheim Partners, announced the hiring of Andrew Booth as a senior managing director and head of Leveraged Finance. Booth, who is based in New York, will focus on further developing the firm’s capabilities in the origination, underwriting and syndication of leveraged loans and high yield bonds.

Booth joined Guggenheim from Lazard, where he was a managing director and head of Leveraged Finance Capital Markets at Lazard Capital Markets. Previously he worked at Jefferies for 16 years and was co-founder and head of Jefferies Finance, a commercial finance company formed by Jefferies and MassMutual.

“We are pleased to welcome Andrew to our team,” said Mark Van Lith, head of investment banking at Guggenheim Securities. “His expertise in building a platform that can provide a full range of underwritten and syndicated leveraged finance products is critical as we continue to drive our investment banking business forward.”
