Great Lakes Business Credit has confirmed that Rhett B. Rowe was appointed as senior regional director. Previously, abfjournal.com reported the appointment according to a Detroit Free Press article. Rowe will be responsible for the company’s organic growth strategy, which includes growing the client base and working with banks, CPAs, attorneys and turnaround firms to aid companies which cannot obtain bank financing.

As a 24-year financial services industry executive, Rowe has a combination of frontline sales and marketing management experience along with substantial analytical, credit and commercial finance experience. During his career, he has compiled an enviable record of personal achievement in developing strategic growth plans, revitalizing sales operations, building successful sales and credit teams, managing key accounts, spearheading major business development initiatives and optimizing people, processes and capital to improve profits and increase shareholder value.

Most recently, Rowe served as EVP and commercial banking manager for Key Bank in Denver, CO where he was named Key Bank’s “2010 Rookie of the Year” and won the coveted “Extraordinary Leadership” award. Earlier he has held C-level positions within Global Wave Group, Texas State Bank, Arvest Bank, and First National Bank of Colorado.

Rowe’s education includes an MBA in Finance from the University of Detroit (summa cum laude) and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Michigan. He also successfully completed the Executive Leadership program at the Sam M. Walton School of Business.
