Rimma Tabakh was named Grant Thornton’s Greater Bay Area local audit practice leader. She will be responsible for providing audit services to clients in the firm’s San Francisco and Silicon Valley offices.

Tabakh recently returned from China where she was the U.S. resident partner based in Shanghai, assisting in the execution of audits of U.S.-listed companies located there, as well as U.S. companies with significant operations in China and Asia Pacific. She also supervised cross-border transactions including initial public offerings of foreign filers.

Tabakh, a certified public accountant, has more than 18 years of experience providing audit and advisory services to multi-national corporations and private clients. She has led initial and secondary public offerings, performed due diligence in acquisitions, supervised intricate international audits (including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance), overseen various SEC filings, and advised European, American and Asian companies on cross-border and capital raising transactions.
