Investment bankers Mark D. Lubash and Terence M. Murphy announced the launch of Glidepath Capital Partners, an investment banking firm focused on providing mergers and acquisitions advisory services to small- and middle-market companies in the aerospace, defense and government services sectors.

Glidepath Capital Partners is being launched in response to the market’s need for a new investment banking model providing differentiated, actionable, conflict-free advice to business owners, senior executives and boards of directors. Given the increasingly volatile and complex political, regulatory, and budgetary environment, business owners and leaders need thoughtful strategies and financial solutions to successfully navigate this challenging environment, the company said in a press release.

In a joint statement, the founders of Glidepath Capital Partners said: “By bringing together a banking team with a successful track record and laser-like focus on the industry sectors we know – aerospace, defense and government services – Glidepath Capital Partners will be able to offer a superior level of focus and attention on creating positive results for our clients.”

Lubash, based in Los Angeles, and Murphy, based in New York City, have worked together for nearly 20 years and were formerly investment bankers at Rodman & Renshaw, LLC where they were both managing directors involved in advisory and financing mandates. Prior to their association with Rodman, Lubash and Murphy were co-founders of boutique advisory firm European American Capital Corp., where they provided private financing and M&A advisory services to small- and middle-market technology, healthcare and consumer companies.

Over the course of their careers, Lubash and Murphy have been involved in numerous advisory mandates in the aerospace, defense and government services sectors. Assignments have involved firms such as Colt Defense, EOIR Technologies, Gator Hawk Armor, Metal Storm, Palmer Manufacturing, Raytheon Aircraft Co., Southern California Braiding, and West Coast Aviation Services among others.

Joining the firm as industry partners is a high caliber group of senior aerospace and defense executives who will be bringing their decades of operating experience and industry insight to client mandates. This group has honed their skills in executive positions with global organizations including Boeing, Israel Aerospace Industries, NASA and Raytheon among others. Their executive-level experience covers a broad number of commercial and business jet, defense, satellite, and space transportation programs.
