Gavin/Solmonese announced that veteran bankruptcy attorney and certified mediator Frank Monaco will join the firm as a senior managing director as of January 1, 2016. Based in Wilmington, DE and Raleigh, NC, Monaco will bring his robust mediation practice to the firm and will also work on fiduciary services matters with a national, Delaware and southeast regional focus.

Frank brings to Gavin/Solmonese more than 35 years of experience representing a variety of stakeholders in bankruptcy transactions and litigations. His involvement in major cases, including Trump Casino, W.R. Grace, Columbia Gas Systems and Continental Airlines has earned him peer recognition and professional achievement. As a certified mediator, he has a proven success rate in reaching settlements in both consensual and court-appointed mediations.

He currently serves as managing partner of the Wilmington, DE office of the national law firm Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice, and will retire at the end of this year to join Gavin/Solmonese. In addition to leading Womble’s Delaware office, Monaco has served on Womble’s firm management committee for the past eight years.
