Ankura Consulting appointed Michael Garson as a senior managing director.

Based in the firm’s Washington, D.C. headquarters, Garson adds to Ankura’s regulatory and compliance services and will work with firm clients on complex issues connected with government contracts and grants.

Garson has more than 20 years of experience as an attorney in private practice, an in-house general counsel, and a C-suite operations and compliance executive.

Before joining Ankura, Garson provided government contracting and business advisory services to a variety of companies through his own independent consulting firm, Strategys Consulting. Before that, he served in various capacities over a 12-year period for US defense contractor LGS Innovations and its main predecessor, Lucent Technologies Government Solutions. While at LGS, Garson’s roles included executive vice president and chief administrative officer, general counsel and secretary, and chief compliance and ethics officer.

He specializes in assisting clients as they build and execute market strategies, in the preparation of winning bids and proposals, and in the design of compliant and efficient business processes and systems.

In addition, Garson develops and monitors ethics and compliance programs, conducts internal investigations, and oversees data management, intellectual property and cybersecurity practices for clients.

Ankura Co-President Philip Daddona said, “When faced with the complexities for businesses and enterprises embarking and performing on government contracts and grant work, Ankura clients know that Mike is here when they need a trusted, experienced, and knowledgeable advisor to help them navigate the process. His commitment to issues related to ethics and compliance match Ankura’s collaborative values and we are very pleased that he has joined us at this juncture of the firm’s ongoing growth and development.”
