ORIX USA announced the appointment of Sean Gallary as managing director of ORIX USA Asset Management Corporation, the holding company for ORIX’s various asset management businesses and investments. Gallary will be based in New York and will share responsibility for investing ORIX USA’s capital in asset management activities, including strategic acquisitions.

Growing our global asset management business is a high priority for Orix, and Sean brings significant experience in sourcing, negotiating and structuring acquisitions in leading boutique asset management companies,” said Mike Kelly, CEO of ORIX Asset Management.

Gallary most recently served as a managing director for Asset Management Finance (AMF), a private investment firm majority owned by Credit Suisse, which focused exclusively on acquiring stakes in both traditional and alternative asset management firms.

Prior to joining AMF, Gallary, was a vice president in the Investment Banking Group of Sandler O’Neill & Partners where he focused on mergers and acquisitions and capital financing transactions in the asset management and banking sectors. Previously, Gallary was in the Asset Management consulting practice of PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
