Robyn Barrett, founder and managing partner of Phoenix factoring firm FSW Funding, was recently chosen as a Spotlight Award Winner in the 2014 Successful Women Owners Network (SWON). Barrett is being recognized for her work in the finance industry and helping small businesses secure the cash they need to grow.

The SWON awards program sponsored by Republic Media Service recognizes and showcases female business leaders that embody significant characteristics. Winners are selected in four categories Lifetime Achievement, Hot Growth, Innovator and Giving Back. Barrett was selected as this year’s Innovator.

“I am delighted to be recognized as an innovator among my peers and represent this category”, said Barrett. “Working with other small business owners and entrepreneurs and helping them grow is extremely rewarding. Being recognized for my work is an honor.”

To be considered for the 2014 SWON recognition, nominees must be 50 percent owners of Arizona-based businesses that have generated more than $1 million in gross revenue. In November, Republic Media will showcase all SWON honorees for their achievements as successful business women in a special newsprint insert that will be included with The Arizona Republic and featured on azcentral.com.

Barrett is a CPA with 20 years of experience in corporate finance. She founded FSW Funding in 2001. Since the company’s inception, FSW Funding has provided approximately $500 million in factor financing to companies throughout the U.S.
