Salus Capital Partners announced it made two new hires.

Brian T. Kennedy joined Salus as a senior vice president, Special Opportunities team leader, primarily responsible for identifying and implementing strategies designed to mitigate the risks associated with portfolio lending activities.

Kennedy also oversees the structuring and underwriting of new and amended loans from a risk mitigation point of view with a focus on pre/post funding analytics and related diligence activities. Kennedy has more than 15 years of asset-based lending experience across many industries including retail, distribution, manufacturing, and service.

Prior to Salus, Kennedy was a director at Wells Fargo Capital Finance, where he underwrote middle-market asset-based transactions for U.S., UK, and Canadian companies in commercial and industrial segments. He was also previously a vice president at GMAC Commercial Finance in Quincy, Massachusetts.

Matthew J. DeLoffi joined Salus as a vice president, Risk Management and Collateral Oversight, responsible for collateral analytics as it relates to portfolio monitoring and underwriting. DeLoffi supports Risk Management through proactive modeling, analysis and monitoring of collateral and its corresponding value.

Prior to joining Salus, DeLoffi was an accredited senior appraiser at Gordon Brothers Group, responsible for the valuation of industrial and wholesale inventories. He was also previously a manager at National Capital Management where he was responsible for the due diligence and valuation of bankruptcy-impaired receivables.
