Payments and financial technology industry expert Mark Flamme has joined AlixPartners as a managing director in its Enterprise Improvement group where he will work closely with the Financial Services practice. He will be based in AlixPartners’ Chicago office.

Flamme brings a deep and unique skillset in financial technology and payments along with nearly three decades of experience in strategy and operations consulting. A standout leader in his field, his expertise includes integrating new digital technologies with payments strategies for multinational banks, financial technology companies, and other corporations.

Prior to joining AlixPartners, he was a partner at Strategy& (formerly Booz & Company), a division of PwC, where he led payments strategy services in its North American financial-services practice. In that capacity, he served banking and financial services clients in developing digital strategies and leveraging technology to drive increased process efficiencies. Before that, Flamme spent more than two decades developing a proficiency in all aspects of the integration of technology and financial services, including holding senior-level posts at consulting firm West Monroe Partners and at Deloitte.

“We welcome Mark to our team at AlixPartners,” said Simon Freakley, CEO of AlixPartners. “The financial services industry is going through unprecedented disruption today, much if not most of it driven by technology, and Mark’s unique skills, experience, and track record for innovation will be of great value to our clients.”
