Continuing the expansion of its Corporate & Securities Section, Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C. announced that Gregory Fine has joined the firm as a member, based in Boston.

Formerly of Ropes & Gray, Fine specializes in private equity financings and mergers and acquisitions, with a particular focus on the middle-market. He also has experience with venture capital financings and with mergers and acquisitions involving both publicly and privately held companies.

“Greg has developed significant expertise in a range of middle-market transactional matters,” said Peter Demuth, chairman of the Corporate & Securities Section. “As we continue to expand our private equity and mergers and acquisition practices and strengthen the depth and breadth of our capabilities, he will make an outstanding, strategic addition to our team.”

Earlier in his career, Fine was a supervising engineer with the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management where he supervised the Rhode Island Remediation Program and Brownfields Redevelopment Program. Part of his role at the Department included negotiating settlement agreements and land use restrictions with performing parties and prospective purchasers.

Fine earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University, and his J.D., magna cum laude from Boston College Law School.
