CMF Associates, a provider of financial, operational and human capital solutions to private equity, middle-market and small cap public companies, announced that Robert Rostron has been named a director in the firm’s financial and operational consulting group, with a specialization in due diligence and post-transaction work.

As a director at CMF, Rostron will serve in a leadership role on consulting engagements, including due diligence, interim CFO, financial reporting, and post-transaction integration projects.

“Rob adds significant depth to our capabilities in serving middle-market private equity funds in our growing NY-metro service area,” said Thomas Bonney, managing director at CMF Associates. “We are thrilled to have Rob join us from the leadership of one of the big four.”

Rostron brings more than 17 years of relevant financial and operating experience, including over ten years of expertise leading due diligence engagements and M&A transaction services, to his new role at CMF. He was previously an M&A director at Deloitte & Touche LLP within this firm’s partner group in NYC, where his accomplishments included advising clients on M&A transactions ranging from $20 million to over $5 billion, leading cross-functional M&A due diligence engagements with a focus on evaluating quality of earnings, working capital, senior management, accounting processes and financial projections. He also developed and implemented national M&A training curriculum for the company employees.

Rostron holds a B.S. in accounting and business from University at Albany – SUNY. He is a Certified Public Accountant (NY) and a member of the American Institute and New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, and an accomplished tri-athlete.
