Crédit Agricole added Jeff Kim and Rodrigo Placido to its Americas Corporate Sales team.

Kim joined as head of Corporate Sales for the Americas after five years in public service working for the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System as a project leader in its Financial Risk Management section and for the U.S. Department of the Treasury as a senior financial economist. Prior to that, he was a managing director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Credit Suisse and Crédit Agricole CIB, where he was part of the Corporate Risk Solutions and Derivatives Structuring teams.

Based in New York, Kim will report globally to Ian Rowland, global head of Corporate Sales, and locally to Bryan Scarfone, head of GMD Sales and Trading Americas.

Placido joined as head of Latin American Corporate Sales, bringing more than 18 years of experience in the banking industry working across Latin America, Europe and the U.S. He started his career in Sales and Trading at Citibank, then moved to Itau Unibanco, where he worked as a consumer and retail banker, followed by Kraft Foods where he worked in Global Treasury. Most recently, Placido worked at Banco Santander as the head of the Consumer and Retail Sector.

Also based in New York, Placido will report to Kim.

“We are delighted to welcome Jeff and Rodrigo, who will play key roles in deepening and extending our client franchise across the Americas, leading the team to address the needs of our corporate clients,” said Gene K. Kim, head of International and Americas for the Global Markets Division.
