Five years after the Lehman Brothers collapse, professionals assisting in the bankruptcy earned more than $2.2 billion, CNNMoney reported.

Lehman emerged from Chapter 11 protection in March 2012, and the firm, now a liquidating trust, has distributed $47.2 billion to creditors so far, CNNMoney said.
