Banc of California hired Kris Gagnon as chief credit officer. Gagnon brings expertise as a top tier credit executive in commercial banking to lead Banc of California’s enterprise credit organization, overseeing special assets, credit policy, credit administration and underwriting.

“The addition of Kris Gagnon to Banc of California is yet another example of the substantial recruiting opportunity we are seeing across our markets and demonstrates our continued ability to attract California’s top banking talent to the company,” said Doug Bowers, president and CEO.

Gagnon came from CIT Bank, where he served as chief credit officer. Before joining CIT, he served in various senior leadership roles at Bank of America for 30 years, including serving as enterprise credit risk executive, chief risk officer of the Global Corporate and Commercial Bank, and as chief credit officer for the Commercial Banking, ABL, Leasing and Global Treasury Services divisions.
