Carl Marks received the awards at the Annual Restructuring & Turnaround Intelligence Forum and Awards Gala held at the University Club of Chicago.

The firm received the Healthcare Services Turnaround of the Year award for its work with Northern Berkshire Healthcare. Carl Marks was also named the Mid Markets Restructuring Investment Bank of the Year and partner, Christopher K. Wu, was honored as Restructuring Investment Banker of the Year – Boutique.

For the firm’s winning assignment in the healthcare sector, Carl Marks advised Northern Berkshire Healthcare as financial advisor through its bankruptcy proceeding, assisting the hospital in negotiating a complex multi-party consensual plan of reorganization with the debtor’s secured noteholders, municipal bond insurer, indenture trustee and unsecured creditors, including the Pension Benefit Guarantee Corporation.

Carl Marks was also as a finalist in the categories of Turnaround of the Year Upper Mid Markets (PJ Finance Company Chapter 11 Reorganization) and Professional Services Turnaround of the Year (Monitor Group Chapter 11 sale to Deloitte Consulting).
