Ackbarali Joins BHI as SVP Middle Market Banking

BHI, the U.S. arm of Bank Hapoalim, Israel’s leading financial institution, appointed 30-year industry veteran Alan Ackbarali team leader and senior vice president of middle market banking. Ackbarali will report to Ralph Mascia, executive vice president, commercial lending at BHI’s offices in New York.

“I’m excited to be joining BHI’s outstanding middle-market commercial banking team. I chose to join BHI because I share its belief that banking is about more than credit lines and cash flows – it’s about people,” Ackbarali said.

“We’re proud to be adding an exceptionally experienced and knowledgeable banker like Alan to our growing team of professionals,” Mascia added. “I’ve worked with Alan in the past and I was always impressed by both his expertise and his strong commitment to giving each of his clients the highest possible level of service.”

Previously, Ackbarali was senior vice president, team leader/relationship manager at Capital One in New York. Before Capital One, he served as senior vice president, relationship manager at Citi’s Markets and Banking – Mid-Corporate Banking Division.
