Capital One said Esther Lainis has joined its Middle Market lending team in New York as senior vice president. In her new role, Lainis will provide lending and commercial banking services to the region’s middle-market customers, with a focus on the apparel industry.

“Esther brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of middle market financing needs in New York,” said Ellen Marshall, Northeast regional executive for Middle Market Commercial Banking. “Her industry expertise and her talent for client relationship development will help us deliver superior performance to clients who look to us for solutions that meet their unique needs. I’m excited to work with Esther as we continue to grow our Middle Market lending business.”

Prior to joining Capital One, Lainis served as first vice president at Israel Discount Bank (IDB), where she focused on developing new middle-market client acquisitions and managing client relationships. Before IDB, Lainis served as vice president, senior relationship manager, Commercial Banking at HSBC Bank.
