Buxbaum Jewelry Advisors will be coordinating what it’s calling “one of the most interesting” estate jewelry wholesale-to-the-trade auctions in many years in New York this week. The entire wholesale inventory of a well known estate jewelry house will be offered in lots to the highest bidders in a sealed bid “Dutch auction” format.

The inventory offered for sale includes what the firm bills as an “extraordinary collection” of more than 2,000 pieces of antique and estate jewelry.

“This offering of highly collectible and sought after fine jewelry consists of an amazing lot of nearly 400 pieces of signed jewels by the likes of Tiffany & Co, Cartier, Harry Winston, Van Cleef & Arpels, Bulgari, Boucheron, Chaumet, Goublin, and others,” said Michael Lebowitz, vice president of Buxbaum Jewelry Advisors and a 40-year veteran of the jewelry industry. “Other lots are comprised of significant groupings of period and fine quality jewels, as well as one lot of cultured pearls, South Sea pearls and Tahitians.”

The collection also includes trays of Art Deco platinum and diamond bracelets, vintage diamond engagement rings, fine sapphire, ruby and emerald jewelry.
