Proskauer announced that Martin J. Bienenstock, a renowned corporate restructuring and governance lawyer, will join the firm together with his colleagues Philip M. Abelson, Irena M. Goldstein, Timothy Q. Karcher, Michael P. Kessler and Judy G.Z. Liu. All were previously with Dewey & LeBoeuf’s bankruptcy team.

Bienenstock and Proskauer’s other new partners have brought their expertise in business solutions, governance, restructuring and bankruptcy to many of the most challenging and important cases in the area, including Enron, General Motors, Owens Corning, U.S. Gypsum, G-I Holdings, Texaco, Capmark, New Page and M.F. Global Holdings. Bienenstock also serves on the faculty at both the University of Michigan Law School and Harvard Law School and is a widely respected author and lecturer on business solutions and governance issues.
