BDO Expands Valuation & Business Analytics Practice
BDO Consulting announced the expansion of its Valuation & Business Analytics practice with the addition of Hill Johnson as a director in the Dallas office. Johnson, who is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) in business valuation from the American Society of Appraisers, brings significant experience working with companies and their owners to provide business valuation appraisals and valuation consulting services, as well as to render independent opinions of value on a range of transactions.
“Understanding the growing need for valuation services in today’s business environment, Hill’s credentials and experience in business valuation make him a key asset to enhance the national practice’s ability to serve the needs of our clients,” said Carl W. Pergola, executive director of BDO Consulting.
“Working extensively with closely held companies and their owners across a range of sectors, Hill brings a depth of knowledge in the complex business challenges that our clients face,” said Anthony Alfonso, senior managing director and Valuation & Business Analytics Practice Leader.
“I am very pleased to be joining the high-caliber team of seasoned professionals at BDO,” said Johnson. “I was drawn to the firm’s entrepreneurial culture, as well as its depth of national resources across assurance, tax and consulting, enabling me to expand the services that I can bring to my clients.”
Johnson has rendered opinions of value for matters involving estate & gift tax planning, buy/sell transactions, financial reporting, employee stock ownership plans, litigation, intellectual property and commercial damages. He has experience across numerous industry sectors, including oil and gas, manufacturing, biotech, chemical, healthcare, medical equipment, retail, restaurant/franchises, real estate, family limited partnerships and professional services. He is also experienced in performing due diligence assessments and completing offering memoranda.
Johnson joins BDO from Hartman Leito & Bolt (HLB) where he served as the director of Business Valuation. The partners and staff of HLB combined with BDO in June 2014. Johnson has also served as an analyst at Creston Petroleum and as a compensation manager at VarTec Telecommunications.
