Victor Barcot joined Houlihan Lokey as a managing director in the Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Group based in Houston.

Barcot joined from Deutsche Bank, where he was a managing director in the Global Oil and Gas Group, focused on providing capital markets and M&A advisory services for clients in the E&P sector. Prior to Deutsche Bank, he was a managing director in HSBC’s Resources and Energy Group, working with E&P clients in the U.S., Canada and Latin America. He also was the founding partner of Exxel Energy Group, an independent E&P firm focused on the U.S. Rocky Mountains, and the founder and CEO of Archer Petroleum, with operations in Western Canada and the Permian Basin. He began his career at Credit Suisse First Boston in 1997.
