Global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal brought on Neil Tyler and Elmar Hiltner as senior directors in their Global Transaction Advisory Group, based in London and Frankfurt respectively. Their appointments align with the group’s expansion strategy and address market demands for independent professional services offerings amidst pan-European regulatory change.

A 20-year industry veteran, Tyler counsels clients on financial due diligence issues and advises on the financial and accounting elements of complex M&A transactions. Prior to joining A&M, he established and led Deloitte’s Transaction Services practice in French-speaking Switzerland, as well as serving as Deloitte’s head of retail there.

Hiltner has worked across a range of industry sectors including automotive, manufacturing, healthcare and chemicals, counseling clients on both mid-market and large multinational transactions. Previously, he served in senior roles in Deloitte’s and Grant Thornton’s Transaction Services practices.

“Neil and Elmar’s appointments reflect A&M’s commitment to continuing our European expansion strategy and to meeting changing market needs,” said David Evans, a managing director and European practice leader with A&M’s Global Transaction Advisory Group. “Their individual and combined sector knowledge and cross-border transaction experience will strengthen our pan-European offering and our ability to help clients navigate challenges in a shifting environment.”
