Piper Jaffray added Patrick Allen as a managing director within the healthcare investment banking group in its Chicago office.

Allen joins Piper Jaffray with more than 20 years of investment banking advisory experience. He previously served as a managing director and co-head of M&A at Kaufman Hall & Associates, where he advised hospitals, health systems and physician practices. Prior to Kaufman Hall, Allen served as director of healthcare M&A at CIT Group and as a principal at Alliant Partners. Earlier in his career, he worked in the investment banking groups at UBS and Lincoln International.

“Patrick represents an important addition to our healthcare platform. With two decades of experience advising hospitals, health systems and payer organizations, he brings deep expertise that will allow us to serve a broader cross-section of clients,” said J.P. Peltier, global group head of Piper Jaffray healthcare investment banking.

“We are very excited to welcome Patrick and his M&A track record on the hospital and payer side,” added Steve Proeschel, head of healthcare public finance at Piper Jaffray. “This expanded presence will serve existing clients in new ways. We look forward to partnering with Patrick and his team.”
