The Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) announced the winners of the annual “Chapter of the Year” honors. Awards are presented in three categories based on a chapter’s membership size.

This year’s winners are:

  • ACG New York
  • ACG Nebraska
  • ACG Orlando

“The chapters receiving this recognition have not only achieved exemplary results through membership growth and retention, but have also introduced new and innovative programming to help keep their membership engaged and involved,” said Charles J. Morton, Jr., ACG chairman of the board.

ACG New York holds over 70 events a year across New York City and beyond from industry-specific conferences focused on verticals like healthcare and manufacturing, corporate-only networking events and ski retreats there is something for every middle-market dealmaker. Outside of their events, ACG New York also recently formed “ACG New York Cares,” an affiliated 501(c)(3) charitable organization created to give back to the local community. ACG New York is ACG’s largest chapter, with membership growing by 15% in the last year alone.

Launched in 2011, ACG Nebraska is the newest U.S.-based chapter of ACG. With a membership of over 250 the chapter attracts many corporate members, with over 30% of their members from that sector. The leadership from ACG Nebraska has also mentored and encouraged the development of other new chapters in London and Brazil.

The Orlando area is home to some of the most successful private equity-backed companies. According to GrowthEconomy.org, Orlando-based private capital-backed companies grew jobs by 1,965.1% compared to 57.7% by all other U.S. companies in the 1995-2010 period. ACG Orlando serves this community well with a robust array of programs and a very active social media campaign on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. Excellent membership retention, solid finances and a strategic board working with a professional staff make ACG Orlando a role model for other ACG chapters.
