We are currently seeking energetic, motivated asset based lending professionals to fill the positions of Field Examiner within our asset based lending business, Marquette Business Credit.

The Field Examiner will conduct collateral exams on new and existing clients. The exams will consist of reviewing and testing the client’s books and records, with significant emphasis placed on examining A/R, inventory, A/P and cash. The exams would comprise analytical procedures and thorough testing to substantiate the authenticity of the collateral supporting the asset based loan.

Qualified candidates will have an Accounting or Finance Degree. Candidates will have 0 – 4 years of field exam experience in the ABL industry. Candidates must have excellent verbal and written skills and the ability to work independently and adhere to scheduling time frames. A proven knowledge of Excel and Word must be demonstrated. Required travel up to 75%.

Evergreen Collateral Consulting, LLC, is a mid-size national consulting firm which specializes in providing due diligence examinations for financial institutions and the companies they lend to. ECC performs initial and recurring collateral exams for banking and asset-based lending institutions. ECC also has developed a core competency in performing due diligence and surveillance for underwriters, investors, and issuers in the capital markets arena.

ECC is currently looking to fill several positions across North America, specifically in the following cities: Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, New York, Buffalo, Boston, Baltimore/Washington D.C., Miami, Cleveland, Chicago, Minneapolis, Detroit, Indianapolis, Dallas, St. Louis/Kansas City, Denver, Los Angeles, Seattle and Portland.

ECC is looking for full-time junior and senior examiners who meet the following criteria:

Junior Examiner:

  • 2-3 years of work experience
  • Willing to travel (75%)
  • Knowledge of general and cost accounting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication of the English language
  • Enthusiastic
  • Self starter
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Open to constructive criticism
  • Accounting or finance degree preferred

Senior Examiner:

  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in bank or ABL examinations
  • Demonstrate the ability to lead a recurring and prospect exam
  • Willing to travel (50-75%)
  • Knowledge of general and cost accounting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication of the English language
  • Ability to work independently and adhere to deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Open to constructive criticism
  • Knowledge of data mining a plus
  • Accounting or finance degree preferred

FIELD EXAMINER / COLLATERAL ANALYST
Chicago/ Milwaukee, New York/ New Jersey and Nationwide

Beacon Lender Services, LLC is a national consulting firm specializing in field examinations and due diligence services for commercial bankers and asset-based lenders.

Field examiners will perform a wide variety of due diligence activities, with a primary focus on analysis and valuation of accounts receivable and inventory. Fieldwork generally is conducted on-site and is performed independently or in small teams.

Examinations are conducted for a wide range of lenders, with a variety of audit templates. Qualified examiners must possess the ability to quickly acclimate to the lender’s template and culture.

Examiners must possess excellent communication skills and be capable of conducting an exam from start to finish with minimal supervision; expertise in Excel, Word, and Outlook, as well as total comfort with the Internet, is essential.

Position Requirements:

  • Three to five+ years of ABL field examination experience; related public accounting or banking experience is preferred.
  • CPA and CFE are a plus, as is experience in healthcare, securitization and factoring.
  • Knowledge of data mining software is preferred.

Description: This position reports to the Regional Audit Manager.

Primary duties and responsibilities:

  • Perform audits on all types of prospective clients including scoping requirements, fieldwork, and issuance of final report for both traditional ABL and non-traditional transactions.
  • During the process, the analyst is required to: obtain information on collateral performance such as turnover, dilution, non-primes, etc. and communicate material changes; Analyze financial reports to evaluate and report material changes in operating performance, EBITDA and balance sheet status.
  • Assess the client's overall systems and records and ability to report to Wells Fargo Foothill (WFF).
  • Identify any areas of potential exposure for WFF's collateral.
  • Communicate with Account Executives, Underwriters and Regional Audit Managers throughout engagements to keep them apprised of any material events.
  • Prepare clear and concise audit reports highlighting areas of exposure for WFF.
  • Additional responsibilities include: Learn new technology; Assist Account Executives with new business funding takeover procedures; Assist in training new team members.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant auditing experience, preferably with an asset based lender for a Financial Analyst candidate and 4+ years relevant auditing experience for a Senior Financial Analyst.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Word and Excel.
  • Requires extensive travel.

Responsibilities

The consultant will be responsible for performing the following activities: performing on-site engagements consisting of field examinations and other customer defined engagements; documenting the findings/results of engagements in written form through reports and in verbal form with customers and management; managing multiple assignments simultaneously; communicating with varied levels of client staff such as audit managers, underwriters, originators and syndication groups. Requirements

We are seeking professionals with 3 to 7 years of public accounting, auditing, banking, or financial consulting experience for consultant positions nationwide. The position requires a willingness to travel and the ability to work independently. Communication skills are of the utmost importance and certifications such as CPA and CFE are preferred but not required. Candidates should possess superior writing and organizational skills and the ability to meet stringent deadlines. Proficiencies in data mining software such as ACL, Idea or Monarch are a plus.
