ABL/FACTORING BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER Cleveland, OH
Great Lakes Business Credit, LLC (GLBC) has an opportunity for a Business Development Officer to cultivate the Ohio market. The primary function is to generate leads, qualify those leads based on GLBC’s policies and procedures, and prepare presentations to validate credit worthiness. Candidates must have a minimum of five years’ experience in Asset Based Lending/Factoring with a mature referral network within the Ohio business, banking and financial community. They must be self-motivated, self-sufficient, computer savvy and have excellent verbal and written skills. The position will be reporting directly to the Managing Director and is compensated through salary plus performance based incentives.
Essential functions for this position include:
Presentation of marketing plan for target territory and implementation of same.
Maintain and continue to build the market presence of GLBC throughout target territory.
Obtain necessary due diligence documentation for review and analysis on prospective financing requests
Provide thorough presentations of financing requests that meet GLBC’s policies and procedures.
Provide weekly marketing activity reports.
Maintain a call list.
Meet annual revenue goals set by management.
Present annual budget for marketing costs of target market for approval by management.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
Minimum 5 years experience in Asset Based Lending and Factoring
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and comfortable with multiple task assignments
Professional interpersonal and communication skills
Must be self-motivated and self-sufficient
Proficient in all MS Office applications, specifically Excel and Word
Effective interpersonal skills
